Beats & Bites Brunch: Trance Fold Tradition ft. Felly Smith

Trance Folk Tradition conjures the downhome atmosphere of another time in the Folk experience. An earlier time, a rural time, a uniquely American time. Long time Cental Oregon musicians Felly Smith (Trailer 31, Hutch and Gentry, Matt Martin) and Matthew Mai Hyman (Moon Mountain Ramblers, Oregon Fryer), originally schooled in the musical traditions of lowland swamp and mountain highlands respectively, revive the simplicity of the early American experience as told through simple steady rhythm and rhythmic fingerpicking topped with inspirational vocal harmonies and dobro melody. Their show is a musical museum of rural early America, cut with some original material inspired by the style. Brunch runs 9am-1:30pm every Sunday with beats dropping from 11am-1pm.
