Live Music Friday: Brandon Campbell Trio

Event Info

  September 19, 2025

  7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Get ready for an unforgettable night of live music in Bend, Oregon as the Brandon Campbell Trio brings their genre-bending sound to Currents at the Riverhouse.

Guitarist Brandon Campbell first made his mark in Southern California’s music scene, founding The Graveyard Farmers in Hollywood in 1998. Blending rockabilly, blues, punk, and late-night horror influences, the band opened for icons like Link Wray, The Blasters, The Stray Cats, The Damned, and L7. Their music appeared in cult films including The Hillside Strangler, Bikini Frankenstein, and Haunting Desires, with even burlesque star Dita Von Teese starring in their video “Kiss Your Ass Goodbye.”

After relocating to the mountains of California, Campbell shifted toward gypsy swing guitar inspired by Django Reinhardt, fusing it with his signature sense of mystery, dark humor, and emotional intensity. His later albums Ten from the Galley (2010) and Mishap in the Foyer (2018) showcase his innovative style, featuring instruments he built himself, including a cardboard upright bass and the experimental “Clairvoyachord.”

Now performing as the Brandon Campbell Trio—with Brian Hickey on upright bass and Mark Evans on tenor guitar—the group delivers a passionate mix of gypsy swing, jazz, rockabilly, and cinematic soundscapes that keep audiences captivated.
