Proud to Host Federal Wildland Firefighting Crews in Bend, Oregon

Published on April 20, 2026

Each dry season, Bend welcomes a different kind of guest—wildland firefighting crews arriving to support work across Central Oregon.

Their arrivals are often coordinated quickly, with entire teams traveling together and lodging secured on short notice. For the people making those arrangements, the priority is simple: find a place that can take on a full crew, keep everyone together, and make the logistics easy. Riverhouse is proud to support that effort.

Convenient Crew-Based Stays

One of Riverhouse’s superpowers is its ability to suit group travel needs of all kinds. Our room types allow for coordinated blocks and bunk room arrangements, making it possible to house entire crews in one place rather than splitting teams across multiple properties. Rooms have plenty of storage for extended stay wardrobes, including gear and equipment!

Room to Arrive, Stage, and Reset

With plenty of space to share, Riverhouse is an ideal landing place for Wildland Firefighting crews: we provide space to pull in with trucks and trailers, without having to sort out parking. Once settled, the day-to-day is easy to manage. Laundry is handled on-site (ideal for extended stays). The gym and sauna are an essential on-property amenity… and the pool certainly doesn’t hurt! Meals can be found on-site as well, with a bar and lounge that gives crews a place to relax, without adding another stop. Everything is in one place, which keeps the focus on the work rather than the logistics.

Supporting Crews Working Across Central Oregon

As a Federal Traveler approved hotel, Riverhouse regularly accommodates crews working throughout the region, including those assigned to the Deschutes National Forest. We’re proud to support the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Fire Administration, and FEMA in their mission to protect the wildlands!
